As you may have noticed, some the common areas in Mill Creek South, perhaps most notably the hills on Stoney Creek Drive, are only being partially mowed. This is a broad attempt by the HOA to help damaged hills (again, most notably on Stoney Creek Drive) recover after some overly-aggressive mowing last year.
A committee has been formed to discuss options for the common areas, including which hills, if any, should be allowed to transition into wild growth, and if so, how that should be accomplished. If you are interested in submitting your ideas to this committee, please contact David Robinson at david@birchstudio.com, or Michael Wheelwright at wogonjm@netzero.net.

Update: I'm off the committee. I appreciate everyone's feedback on the change to our status quo mowing. I'm very glad to know we're allowing some natural landscape back in and saving some fossil fuel at the same time.
Thanks to Michael Wheelwright for having the vision to know how to professionally maintain such a project.
